New School Year Reset
At the start of each year, each schools program administrator needs to carry out a site reset.
This must be done before student enrolment/changes, and within 30 days of the year end date as set in the sites calendar. Students should not use the program before this is done, which is set as available from 20th January for most NZ schools.
Importing Students and/or Staff into the Reading Plus System
Site Administrators may import large numbers of student/staff logins into Reading Plus by preparing a comma-separated values (CSV) file from the template. You can start with an export from your Student/Teacher Information System, and reformat to system requirements by modelling the template example.
Important Tips:
- File name must be “teachers” or "students" as relevant, and saved in a CSV format.
- If your site is listing school Years (not Grades as listed on the template), then these are NZ school years. You will need to populate the student import csv file with the US grade equivalent in the 'Grades' column - which is 1 year lower than the NZ school year. E.g a Year 9 student should be listed as Grade 8 on your import file.
