Lucid Rapid Dyslexia Screening

Lucid Rapid provides teachers with a quick and easy way of identifying dyslexia in children aged 4 - 15 years. The validity and accuracy of the tests in this unique product has been proven in extensive published scientific research. The tests have each been standardised on national samples of more than 2,000 children.

The entire screening process takes only 15 minutes or so to administer and is easy to use because the computer manages the whole process. The computer gives each child three enjoyable dyslexia-sensitive tests, each taking about 5 minutes. Each assessment component has been individually standardised, validated and calibrated to maximise accuracy in detection of dyslexia and prevent dyslexic children 'slipping through the net', with very low false negative and false positive rates. Results are available immediately: a simple graphical and textual print-out of results, which incorporates automatic expert interpretation, gives clear indication of the probability of dyslexia in every case. The accompanying manual provides guidance on differentiated action after screening.

The program produces an immediate, automatically interpreted report for all children that calculates the probability of dyslexia, based on national standardised norms. The automatic interpretation feature means that Lucid Rapid can also be used very effectively by non-teaching staff.
