School Trial Agreement Terms*

We agree to trial under the following terms and conditions:

Trial Term and Fee:
• We aim for the program to be available for use for a school term, with a 10 week minimum period.
• There is no limit to the number of students or staff who use the program during the trial.  
• A minimum of 10 students are required to use the program 3 times per week each, throughout the 10 weeks (we recommend using with at least one whole class to see class wide data for a range of students).
• At the end of the trial, access to the program will be closed.  Data is saved and reinstated if purchase follows – so you just carry on where you left off.
• Trial extensions may incur a fee so please request your trial for a time when your students will be available to use the program regularly.
• There is no automatic right of trial term extension for lack of use during the trial term set.

Usage:
• You don’t need to wait till the start of the trial term to begin – get going as soon as setup has been completed.
• Students can use the program at school/home, on computers, iPads, Chromebooks and some Android tablets.
• Regular usage, monitoring student data, and providing support as indicated by the program, are key to student success.
• Research shows on average students need to use the program at least 3 times per week.
• We recommend pre and post-trial testing of students for your own independent review of program success. 

Staff and Training:
• One school staff member shall be nominated as Trial Contact to oversee the trial and communicate with ITECNZ.  (All staff members may use the program.)
• The Trial Contact will be required to take part in an introductory webinar training session of approx. 30 mins.
• Training for all staff is important – you will be emailed program information throughout the trial, and have access to in program help as well as training guides and videos on our www.itecnz.co.nz website.
• The Trial Contact will be offered a second webinar where you learn how to review your actual student data.  (Free during the trial period – normally $45 + GST).

Installation and Support:
• Staff and student program access is available by direct web link – no installation is required.  
• Android Tablet/iPad Apps downloads are available by free download.
• Free program downloads are available as an alternative access for schools with insufficient internet bandwidth for the numbers of students logging in.  (Schools are responsible for any installation required.)  
• ITECNZ shall request a full administration access login to your program account and usage data for the purposes of supporting your trial, teacher training, and trial progress reporting.  If a decision is made to purchase the program you can elect to delete our access to your account if you prefer to.
• ITECNZ shall email the Trial Contact throughout the trial with usage tips and information.

Trial Completion and Follow up:
• The contact staff member will be asked to complete a short feedback survey at the end of the trial.
• The contact staff member may receive follow up emails or phone calls.
• There is no obligation for schools to purchase the program following a trial.
• Schools who decide to purchase a licence following the trial are recommended to budget for follow up PD for best implementation.  Requirements may vary depending on staff experience with the program, the size of your licence and how widely the program was used during the trial period.
